Marsala: 2015 Color of the year

After the announcement of the 2015 color of the year, I thought I'd share with you some of my favorite things this season that happen to be following the Marsala trend. It's the perfect color to be used as an accent in the home, unexpected but beautiful. The Cedar Street Maise handbag by Kate Spade is absolutely adorable and comes in this great color. I also love these Hunter Boots. And who doesn't love OPI? Pictured above is OPI's Lost on Lombard. Also, everyone needs the perfect accent watch, this Marc Jacobs one is stunning. The color of the year can be seen in so many unexpected places. For example, pomegranates, the antioxidant-rich superfood, are my favorite fruit, the best snack or great for Friday night's martini. And lastly, as you can see above, adding a marsala colored chair to your foyer can be the perfect touch to a great space. Don't be afraid to try using marsala in your next design project, whether it's a patterned pillow, a full couch, or a piece of artwork to hang on your wall!
