Cinque Terre: Travel Guide

I'm pretty sure we died and went to heaven... A.k.A Cinque Terre. It was by far one of the prettiest places we have been to thus far!  Although it was a tiring day hiking up the cliff sides in our sandles ( clearly bad choice on us!), we truly loved every bit. For those of you who don't know, there are five different villages that make up Cinque Terre; Monterosso, Vernazza, Corniglia, Manarola, And Riomaggiore.

We ended up taking a day trip to Cinque Terre from Pisa, which ended up being much easier then we originally thought. We took a train to La Spezia and there we bought our one day pass for Cinque. We would defiantly recommend buying the day pass, it was around 14 euros and you were able to train to all five of the villages as many times as you wanted until midnight. Nicole and I originally planned to only go to three of the villages, but we end up not taking as much time in some villages as we thought we would.

Now for the fun part! Each village was beautiful in its own way, but our absolute favorite was by far Manarola. Manarola had the picture perfect views of exactly what we were picturing. We loved it so much we ended up eating lunch at one of the restaurants  that was built on the cliffs. Both the view and the food were spectacular!

Overall we absolutely loved this day trip! We would recommend going prepared to hike! We didn't think we would be doing as much walking as we thought (according to the Fitbit we ended up hiking 10 miles that day! ). If you wanted to actually hike, and make it more of a challenge you can also map out a hiking route that would connect you to each village without taking the train.
