Venice & Florence

We've covered a lot of ground since we last checked in! We went to Venice and now we're in Florence, which we've absolutely fell in love with to say the least. So much so that we will be spending an extra 3 days here because we can't force ourselves to leave. Venice was absolutely beautiful, and just as we expected it to be. It was our first stop in Italy, which meant our first taste of real Italian pasta. Gnocchi and Spinach & Ricotta Raviolis was where we started and man were they delicious. Venice was filled with people and tourists working to find their way over bridges and to St.Marks square. It is definitely somewhere where everyone should travel to once in their life. One tip we learned is that it is super easy to utilize the bus systems in Italy to get around... And it is cheap (1.30€) if you buy them before getting on the bus.. At the local Tabaci store. Otherwise, you have to pay the bus driver. Also, if traveling from the airport take the sue to Venice instead of a taxi!

Upon arrival to Florence we fell in love within 10 minutes or exiting the train. It is so busy.. Yet calm and quiet here... And the sunsets are breathtaking (see for yourself below). The smell of leather and pasta fill the streets. Apparently the leather smell was enough to convince us to go crazy.. Because we bought up practically one of each bag they had to offer.. More to come I'm sure after staying here a few extra days. We visited Napo leone... A restaurant suggested to us by a local and it was perfect. A traditional Tuscany meal at its finest. The city is beautiful and comforting all at the same time. Florence is definitely on the top of our list... more to come in a few days but for now here's a glance of the sunset.
