The Perfect Paint

Looking to repaint an old piece of furniture but having trouble deciding on what kind of paint you want to use? Why not try an eco-friendly, acrylic free chalk-based paint. I have been working with it lately to make handcrafted furniture and it’s amazing. The American Paint Company ( americanpaintcompany.com ) paint is made purely of clay and chalk and is a mineral based paint that does wonders on old wood furniture. No priming or sanding necessary, just pick a color or a few colors and go for it. There is endless possibilities while using this kind of paint, since it is chalk based, it is easily rubbed off with water before the final wax coat is applied. This leaves room for our unavoidable mistakes while trying to repaint those small crevasses in the design of the old wood furniture piece. No one is perfect, that’s why the ability to wash away mistakes with a damp paper towel is a plus!
